(1 of 2 Roles Filled) Podcast / Livestream Hosts!
2 In-character Podcasters to cover our Midsummer Games, Live.

Costume role, pitch your character concept idea! must be a fantasy character of some sort – open to suggestions, Must be able to talk with co-host for hours, as if hosting a podcast or livestream. Must be able to camp out for the weekend!

When: Saturday & Sunday, during public hours (10-5, 10-4).  Volunteers receive entry to the Festival based on hours/type of volunteerism and are free to enjoy the other aspects of the festival after their shifts.

 

Herald / Town Crier

Role Description: 1-2 people to make rounds throughout the festival, calling out scheduled items, games and activities as per the entertainment schedule, as well as help people find their way to the event they are looking to participate in or around the Fairyblossom Village.

When: Saturday & Sunday, during public hours (10-5, 10-4).  Volunteers receive complimentary entry to the Festival and are free to enjoy the other aspects of the festival after their shifts.

 

 

Wand-slinging Wizard

Role Description: 1-2 people to play the costumed NPC part of a wizard and engage Questers in a pace-off duel.

When: Saturday during public hours (10-5).  Volunteers receive complimentary entry to the Festival and are free to enjoy the other aspects of the festival after their shifts.

 

 

 

 

Pan’s Pipes (Inhabited by Satyr/Faun)

Challenge Description: This talent based challenge involves a game of impromptu rock band. After experimenting with various instruments, players must ‘form a band’ with their Questing party and ‘play a song’ for the resident music loving Satyr/Faun

Characters Needed: 2 Actors, Satyr/Faun costume, preferably with at least some familiarity with instruments like drums, pipes, xylophone, kazoo, whistles

Those chosen  will volunteer as NPC roles. This challenge module will be their responsibility to maintain for the day.

When: Sunday, during public hours (10-4).  Volunteers receive complimentary entry to the Festival and are free to enjoy the other aspects of the festival after their shifts.

Muninn the Raven

Role Description: 1-2 people to play the costumed NPC part of Muninn the Raven and engage Questers in a timed challenge game of memory.

When: Sunday during public hours (10-4).  Volunteers receive complimentary entry to the Festival and are free to enjoy the other aspects of the festival after their shifts.

 

 

 

(Roles Filled) Cave of Peril-ka the Dragon!
Challenge Description: Dragon Egg Search.  Peril-ka the Dragon offers players dross in exchange for how ever many dragon eggs they can find in the ball pit and put into the nest in 1 minute.

Characters Needed: (1) Dragon Handler (costumed), (1) Dragon puppeteer to operate the dragon

The dragon handler will have the duty of interfacing with incoming public to help them talk to the dragon, as well as run and reset the actual challenge.

Puppeteer will operate and voice the Peril-ka the Dragon in order to give the players their challenge.

Those chosen should be able to do both parts of this challenge module.  They will volunteer as NPC roles. The Cave of Peril-ka the Dragon Challenge Module will be their responsibility to maintain for the day.

When: Sunday (10-3).  Volunteers receive complimentary entry to the Festival and are free to enjoy the other aspects of the festival after their shifts.

(Roles Filled) Will o’Wisp Whisperers!

Multiple volunteers needed to be runners throughout the Mythic Forest, and the general festival.  Their job will be to talk to players, collect ‘news & gossip’ on the progress of various games, NERF battles and questing parties, or other festival activities, and report what they learn/hear back to our Podcasters.

Costumed role, with much lighting and LED.  You’re a Will o’Wisp, you should glow a LOT!

When: Saturday & Sunday, during public hours (10-5, 10-4).  Volunteers receive complimentary entry to the Festival and are free to enjoy the other aspects of the festival after their shifts.

(Role Filled) One volunteer needed play the part of an Elf NPC and assist questers with shooting either a real bow and arrow at target, or NERF bow and arrow.

Costumed role, garb required.

When: Sunday, during public hours (10-4).  Volunteers receive complimentary entry to the Festival and are free to enjoy the other aspects of the festival after their shifts.

 

 

 

(Roles Filled) Battle of the Ice Giants (Battle of Jotunheim)
Challenge Description: Players must boffer-battle the Frost Giant (Jotun) and make him let you cross the Rainbow Bridge

Characters Needed (in costume): 2 (Jotun) Experienced Boffer Fighter/Stage Fighting/Stunt Person

Those chosen to play the parts of our Jotun will volunteer in costume playing the NPC role of the Ice Giants. The Ice Giant Challenge Module will be their responsibility to maintain for the day.

When: Saturday, during public hours (10-5).  Volunteers receive complimentary entry to the Festival and are free to enjoy the other aspects of the festival after their shifts.

(Role Filled) One volunteer needed play the part of an Flower Fairy NPC and assist Questers with the botany challenge of matching plant images/parts to their descriptions.

Costumed role, garb required.

When: Saturday, during public hours (10-5).  Volunteers receive complimentary entry to the Festival and are free to enjoy the other aspects of the festival after their shifts.
