Are you a Cosplay and Costuming Champion?!

This year Fairyblossom will hold its second annual Cosplay Costume Contest.  First, Second and Third place winners will be awarded prizes and shall receive invites to future events

King Finvarra & Queen Ounadh will be presiding as judges over this year’s costume contest.  Get you best outfit on, garb up and get in the game!

All ages are welcome!

Meet the 2017 Judges!

Ounadh (pronounced ‘oooh-nah’), The Fairy Queen of the Sidhe.  Queen Ounadh of the Seelie Court will be sitting as one of three judges.  Her skills with needle and thread defy human convention – get on your finery!

Finvarra, the Fairy King of the Sidhe.  King Finvarra of the Unseelie shall be sitting as the second of our three judges for the costume contest.  He has exquisite taste, refined as the fae are known for being.

1st Place Winners shall receive:

2nd Place Winners shall receive:

Judges will evaluate both male and female candidates based on the following criteria:

  • Costume & Character (50%): Costume design and arrangement show effort, originality and creativity.  Outfits can be handmade, arranged or assembled by the entrant from a collection of pieces, or a mix of both.
  • Communication Skills (25%): Contestants should be prepared to speak about, or answer questions pertaining to the story that goes along with their outfit and its creation. Good verbal skills, speaks clearly, expresses her/his self appropriately, creative speech content, correct grammar, good eye contact.
  • Presence (25%): Poised under pressure, enthusiastic, sincere, comfortable with her/his self, appropriate grooming.  Demonstrates good citizenship, community-minded, involved in hobbies or activities, shows desires to help others, artistic, musical, theatrical or other skills and talents.
